WHO WE ARE

The Hawai‘i Construction Alliance is comprised of the Hawai‘i Regional Council of Carpenters; the Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons‘ Union, Local 630; International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers, Local 1; the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Local 368; and the Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 3.  Together, the member unions of the Hawai‘i Construction Alliance represent 15,000 working men and women in the basic crafts of Hawai‘i’s construction industry.

The Hawaii Construction Alliance is an umbrella group for several construction unions. Together, the member unions of the Hawai‘i Construction Alliance represents 15,000 working men and women in the basic crafts of Hawai‘i’s construction industry.
 

At the collective bargaining table, in the community, in the exercise of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, the Hawai‘i Construction Alliance works to responsibly serve the interests of our members and working citizens.

OUR MISSION
 

Our goal is to more effectively organize working men and women;

  • To secure for them full recognition and enjoyment of the rights to which they are justly entitled.
  • To achieve higher standards of living and working conditions.
  • To attain job security for all working men and women.
  • To enjoy the leisure which their skills make possible
  • To strengthen and extend our way of life and the fundamental freedoms which are the basis of our democratic society.
